Congratulations Seniors!!!
The 2007-2008 school year is comming to an end!

Dear Parents, Guardians, and Graduating Seniors:

As the school year draws to a close, there are several important events that involve Harding seniors and their parents. The calendar of events for this year’s graduating class is as follows:

Senior Portfolio Exit Interviews will be held Tuesday, May 6 and Thursday, May 8 from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Parents are welcome to attend.

Student Responsibilities such as textbooks, portfolios, library books, locks and other responsibilities must be returned or paid for by Friday, May 16th.

Senior Honor’s will take place on Friday, May 23, starting at 7:45 a.m. in the Harding auditorium. If you are in the top twenty, or are receiving an award, honor or scholarship, plan on attending. You and your parents will be notified of your award and invited to attend. This is to honor “all” seniors and their parents, and because it is a special day, we expect our seniors to “dress up”.

Cap and Gown Distribution will take place on Friday, May 30, during Foundations. Those who have not been measured must see Mr. Keenan in the Athletic Office. Students with an asterisk (top twenty percent) in front of their name on the lineup sheet are eligible for gold tassels. You may exchange the maroon and gold tassel for one that is all gold or purchase the gold one for an additional $2.00.

Graduation Tickets will be given out Friday, May 30, during Foundations. Each senior will receive eight (8) tickets. If students need more, they should ask classmates for unwanted tickets. If your family is not using all of them, please return the extras to Mr. Keenan to share with others who could use them.

Graduation Rehearsal will be at the
Roy Wilkins Auditorium at 10:00 a.m. Monday, June 2, 2008. All seniors must attend the practice to participate in the ceremony.

Graduation Commencement Ceremony will take place on Monday, June 2, at 8:00 p.m. at the Roy Wilkins Auditorium. You must be in line by 7:30 p.m. Your position for the ceremony will be explained

at rehearsal.

All “Knight” Party will be held on Monday, June 2. Doors open at 10:00 p.m. and will be locked at 11:00 p.m. All Harding graduates are invited to attend. Cost is $25.00 payable to Harding High School and must be paid to Mr. Keenan by the morning of June 2. The party includes food, gym, swimming, dancing, door prizes and tons of fun. The party ends the following morning at 6:00 a.m.

Last regular day of school for seniors is Friday, May 30.

We extend a cordial invitation to the Harding commencement to all parents, guardians, relatives and friends of the graduates. In the fine tradition of our school, we expect the exercises to be conducted in a dignified and orderly manner which will bring credit to Harding High School and the Class of 2008. Parents and graduates are urged to discuss the importance of the occasion.

Any student who is unsure of his/her “status” regarding credit earned for graduation should check with the counseling office as soon as possible. Parents concerned about their student being able to graduate should contact the school guidance office at 651-793-4708. We hope there will be no last minute disappointments for students who were not aware that they were lacking credits. If a student does not have enough credits for graduation, or if they have not passed one or more of the Basic Skills tests, they cannot participate in the ceremonies.
