Twin Cities Regional Science Fair
On February 23-24, we had three teams and one individual from Harding participate in the 69th Annual Twin Cities Regional Science Fair at the University of Minnesota. These students were all from the 9th Grade and represented Harding very well.
The team of Maivboon Vang, Abby Sullivan, and Joe Rubbelke won an award from the US Metric Association for the best use of the metric system in their project.
Minnesota State Science Fair
One of our teams, consisting of John Earl, Lucas Gabrielson, and Jacob Stramer, was selected to go to the Minnesota State Science Fair which took place March 25-27 in St. Paul.
Intel International Science and Engineering Fair
John, Lucas, and Jacob's team has been invited to participate in the Intel International Science and Engineering Fair 2007 (ISEF) May 13-18 in Albuquerque, New Mexico. This is the world’s most prestigious science fair for high school students and will be attended by approximately 1500 students from 47 countries.
Our team is only team selected from St. Paul schools for the ISEF. Their project was on the effect of metals to inhibit the growth of bacteria from the Mississippi River.
